Eric Macy
Chairman

Eric Macy's career spans more than 20 years of experience in the trading, restructuring, stabilization and growth of private and public companies in a myriad of industry sectors. As Chairman of TexCal Energy, Mr. Macy leads the executive committee made up of senior executives and board members charting future growth and expansion strategies at the Company.

Mr. Macy's unique background includes experience in oil and natural gas exploration and production, institutional finance and corporate operations. He also currently holds the position of executive vice president with Jefferies & Co., an internationally recognized investment banking concern headquartered in New York.

Since emerging as a start-up company in 2004, TexCal has been focused on exploiting its proven developed and undeveloped oil and natural gas reserves through increased workover and exploitation activities on its Texas and California fields. The Company is also actively pursuing the acquisition of domestic leaseholds and new exploitation opportunities in its core operating areas of Texas and California.

As chairman, Mr. Macy led the Company's executive committee in charting the course for the launch of TexCal Energy. From its initial incorporation, Mr. Macy has focused on building the Company on a stable balance sheet, leveraging the strength of its leaseholds in Texas and California to create cash flow which has been reinvested as growth equity. From the strategic decision to focus on domestic exploration, extraction and exploitation opportunities in the core markets reflected in its brand identity, to establishing an inclusive corporate culture emphasizing people and retention in conjunction with reserve expansion and production increases, Mr. Macy has played a centrifugal role in laying the foundation for the Company's demonstrated quarter over quarter growth and profitability.

Mr. Macy has served in various senior executive capacities within Jefferies since joining the investment-banking firm in 1991. Prior to joining Jefferies, Mr. Macy worked for six years with Donaldson, Lufkin and Jenrette Securities Corporation. Mr. Macy received a B.A. in Business from University of California at Los Angeles.
