Jeff Janik's career spans more than 30 years of petroleum industry experience, including positions as a petroleum engineer, field supervisor, operations manager, Vice President and COO. As the Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for TexCal Energy, Mr. Janik leads the Company's Operations, Exploration and Land Departments and is a member of its strategic committee made up of senior executives and board members charting future growth and expansion strategies.

Mr. Janik joined the ranks of the petroleum industry in 1975 as a petroleum engineer for AMOCO Production Co., working Gulf Coast, Offshore, Austin Chalk, South Texas and Michigan producing areas. In 1984, Mr. Janik accepted a position as Operations Manager with KP Exploration, where he managed operations in Texas, Louisiana, Oklahoma and New Mexico for the independent oil and gas exploration company. Mr. Janik was hired by Baker Energy as a vice president of domestic operations in 1993, supervising over 400 onshore and offshore operating personnel contracted to operate oil and gas facilities for 20+ different operators. In 1998, Mr. Janik was named Vice President of Operations for Tri-Union Development Corp, overseeing operations on its assets in Louisiana, New Mexico, Wyoming, California, Texas and Offshore Texas and Louisiana. Mr. Janik resigned his position at Tri-Union in late 2004 to accept his current position with TexCal.

Since emerging as a start-up company in 2004, TexCal has been focused on exploiting its proven developed and undeveloped oil and natural gas reserves through increased workover and exploitation activities on its Texas and California fields. The Company is also actively pursuing the acquisition of domestic leaseholds and new exploitation opportunities throughout the United States.

Mr. Janik is a 1974 graduate of Texas A & M University, with a B.S. degree in Ocean Engineering, and is active in industry associations as API, AADE, CIPA and TIPRO.
